How to make a claim

You need to notify the Orion claims centre before carrying out any repairs, except in the case of emergency repairs or to prevent further damage or loss. This allows an assessor to view damage where required. If a claim is lodged after repairs or replacement have taken place, the insurer may decline the claim or reduce payment.

 When reporting a claim, please provide as much information as possible, including:

  • body corporate number
  • contact details for the owner, tenant or building manager
  • a detailed description of the damage.

If you are asked to complete a claim form, download a copy below. Claim forms should be completed by the party that experienced the loss, usually the unit owner or body corporate representative.
